School of Rock

Jack Black plays a rock star wannabe named Dewey who is in need of some cash. So he does what any good aspiring rocker would do: pose as a substitute teacher at a prep school and turn his class into a rock band.

Price: $6.99

Details: Directed by Richard Linklater and written by Mike White, this movie stars Jack Black, Adam Pascal, Lucas Papaelias, Chris Stack, and Sarah Silverman. Runtime is 109 minutes; released in theaters Oct. 3, 2003; on DVD March 2, 2004. Rated PG-13 for some rude humor and drug references.

Why It’ll Make You Feel Better: Because Jack Black plays the coolest dork ever, and he makes you feel like it’s ok to be a dork. It’s also got a groovy soundtrack. In this clip, Dewey triumphantly rocks hard on stage with his little protégés.
